Ladder and Track Style MountsMooring Systems Inc.
designs, fabricates and installs retractable Ladder and Track style mounts for
horizontal current meters. These mounts were first
developed in response to the National Ocean Services' (NOS) requirement to have side
looking acoustic doppler profilers (SL-ADP) mounted to the pilings of
piers. The Mount
allows the retrieval of a current meter by boat, without divers, from its
insitu status for the purpose of cleaning and replacement. The design also
encompasses a cable connection between the current meter and phone lines
for Real-Time communication and data acquisition. In addition to the
Ladder and Track style mounts' robust design to meet varied environmental
conditions, easy access at different tides was also factored into the
design along with simplicity of use. MSI can readily adapt our Mount
designs to fit custom needs.
