Mooring Systems, Inc. was founded in 1985 as a commercial business to provide oceanographic scientists and engineers with design services, fabrication and supply of ocean moorings and instrumentation platforms. Key MSI employees have a strong academic background in ocean engineering and years of experience on the technical staff of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's mooring design group. MSI is just a short drive from WHOI, both of which are located on Cape Cod, in the state of Massachusetts. MSI has designed, fabricated, deployed and recovered, from buoy to anchor, top quality mooring designs and buoy systems for the international oceanographic community. Our ability to provide "hands on" technical field expertise in addition to supplying mooring equipment that will survive in the harsh marine environment is one of our most valuable assets. Mooring Systems has also gained years of practice in sediment coring through working with marine scientists and field engineers to modify equipment for improved performance and special applications. In 2002, MSI purchased the rights to a complete coring product line from Benthos, Inc. Mooring Systems' proven success in the design and fabrication of mechanical systems for the marine environment has established MSI as a leader in it's field and natural choice for all of your mooring system needs. The next time you go to sea, rely on the very best. Take Mooring
